BBL Recovery Tips: Your Week-by-Week Healing Guide
Recovery from a BBL isn't a straight line β it's a week-by-week journey. Here's what to expect at each stage and how to support your body through it all.
Week 1: Survival Mode
This is the hardest week. Focus on rest, hydration, and wearing your Stage 1 faja 23 hours a day. Use your BBL Recovery Pillow whenever seated and sleep on your stomach. Read our detailed Week 1 recovery guide for a day-by-day breakdown.
Week 2: Peak Swelling
Swelling typically peaks around day 10β14. Continue wearing your compression garment religiously. Start lymphatic drainage massage if your surgeon has cleared you. Support sessions at home with our Electric Lymphatic Drainage Bead Roller. Use your foam pads and ab board consistently.
Week 3β4: Turning the Corner
Swelling starts to reduce and you'll begin to feel more like yourself. This is often when surgeons clear patients to transition to a Stage 2 faja. Read our guide on when to switch from Stage 1 to Stage 2.
Week 5β6: Stage 2 Begins
You're now in the shaping phase. Your Stage 2 faja provides firm but more comfortable compression. Continue lymphatic massage 2β3 times per week.
Weeks 7β12: The Long Game
Swelling continues to resolve slowly. Results become more visible. Maintain compression as directed and take weekly photos to track your progress.
Month 3β6: Final Results
This is when your true results emerge. Transition to our Stage 3: Everyday Snatched collection for comfortable daily shapewear. Support your wellness with our BBL Wellness Gummies.
